FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

WEB HOST POWWEB.COM ASSISTS IN HURICANE KATRINA DISASTER RELIEF WITH MONEY AND RESOURCES

Montery Park, CA - September 12, 2005 - PowWeb.com has today announced a two-part relief donation for the victims of Hurricane Katrina. PowWeb will donate seven thousand dollars to the American Red Cross immediately. Additionally, the company has offered its web hosting services to any organization that requires them for the hurricane relief.

As a result of the devastation visited upon the Gulf Coast, and its impact on PowWeb customers, the company felt that it was important to do something to directly help those affected. The Red Cross immediately welcomed the monetary donation.

In addition to the direct donation, PowWeb has opened its servers up to any organization needing them to run a web site to help Katrina victims. This includes local chapters of the Red Cross, church organizations, volunteer recruitment initiatives, food drives, or any other cause that will help in this tragedy.

Due to the high cost of networking infrastructure, as well as the direct damage caused by the hurricane, PowWeb knows that not all good causes can afford the type of service needed in this time of crisis. Any organization needing help should contact [email protected] for details.

PowWeb.com president Andrew Te said, "As the country remembers the tragedy of September 11, 2001, we are also recovering from a new disaster caused by Mother Nature. I hope that PowWeb can do its small part to make that easier on those affected."

PowWeb has registered its offering with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security using their web based resource registry at https://www.swern.gov/emergency/asset_index.php. Anyone able to offer additional resources is encouraged to do the same.
